KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 — Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek has called for Bahasa Melayu to be promoted as a key player in all sectors to enhance its economic and commercial value.

BANGI, July 13 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said teachers who are negligent, indisciplined, and perform poorly should be excluded from the time-based promotion privilege.

MELAKA, June 28 — Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) is amending the DBP Act 1959 to be tabled in Parliament as soon as possible to ensure that the use of the Malay language is enhanced and upheld as the national language which is the foundation of national identity, said DBP director-general Abang Sallehuddin Abang Shokeran.
